We wanted to give you a heads up that a number of Pig Iron artists are working on the English-language premiere of Toshiki Okada's ENJOY (translated by Aya Ogawa) in New York at 59E59 Theaters.

Pig Iron co-founder Dan Rothenberg directs this strange and wonderful play about part-time workers in a Tokyo manga cafe.  (“But it's not really about that,” says Rothenberg. “It's really about the syntax of imagination.”  Inscrutable as ever, that Rothenberg.)

Pig Iron's Associate Artistic Director Alex Torra is performing in the piece, as well as NPL's Mary McCool (who joined Pig Iron on tours of Hell Meets Henry in 2007).  Associate Artists Mimi Lien and James Clotfelter design the set and lights, and Daniel Kluger and Maiko Matsushima (who designed last year's Yuba City) design sound and costumes.
