20th Anniversary Festivities

Last May, Pig Iron celebrated 20 years of existence with a weekend chock-full of parties and performances. Here's a list of the events we held to commemorate two decades of exuberant and unusual performance-making:
 
Tuesday, May 17, 7:30-9:30pm
Opening reception, Pig Iron 20th anniversary fine art print preview party. Friends of Pig Iron were the first to see commissioned 20th anniversary prints at a cocktail reception in the White Space.
 
Saturday, May 21, 4:00pm; Sunday, May 22, 2:00pm
Influential Pig Iron collaborators Teater Slava, visiting from Sweden, presented their haunting musical work TWINE. MEASURE. CUT. in Studio 1.
 
Saturday, May 21, 5:30pm on
Street-side food trucks provided dinner.
 
Saturday, May 21, 7:30pm
A reading of Pig Iron’s 2001 collaboration with Joseph Chaikin, Shut Eye in Studio 1.
 
Saturday, May 21, 9:00-11:00pm
A dance party for anyone who loves Pig Iron featuring Pig Iron School alumni-stars Red 40 and the Last Groovement.
