Pig Iron Theatre seeks to fill two (2) internship positions to work with our company from September 15th to January 15th. The areas of internship include: Non-Profit Arts Administration and Production Management.We are looking candidates who are self-possessed, motivated, reliable, detailed-oriented, and have strong writing and computer skills. Applicants should be excited about broadening their understanding of the inner working of a non-traditional theater company at the forefront of Phildelphia theatre.
The Non-Profit Arts Administration Intern will work closely with Pig Iron's Managing Director, Director of Development, and Business Manager to support the daily activites of the company's administrative staff. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: development assistance, data management, archiving, research in the areas of development, touring, and marketing.
The Production Management Intern will work closely with Pig Iron's Production Manager. Responsibilities include: preparation and execution of a touring production, company management, organization of production materials and storage, communication with production staff, designers, and artistic staff.
Applicants will be asked to be work the equivalent of 15 hours a week. Pig Iron is willing to work with educational institutions in order to give college course credit.
