PRODUCTION INTERNSHIPS:
Pig Iron is looking for unpaid summer Production interns in the following areas:
Production Management (APM), Stage Management (ASM), Sets (Design, Carpentry, Scenic Painting), Costumes (Design, Wardrobe), Lights (Design, Electrics). All Production interns will work closely with Pig Iron's Production Manager and with the Designer/TD/SM in their department.
Responsibilities may include: organization of production materials and storage;
communication with production staff, designers, and artistic staff; working load-in, technical rehearsals, and strike; attending production and artistic design meetings as needed.
Exact hours will vary depending on position.
Approximate dates: Applicants may be asked to work 10-15 hours a week from early June through mid-August and to be available (nearly full-time) for technical rehearsals and previews, mid-August through mid-September. Some positions will extend through strike in late September.
Ideal candidates will enjoy inventing creative solutions and will have interest in various aspects of theater management, as our small office requires flexible priorities and an open mind. Willingness to take initiative a must. Exact duties will vary depending on skill set and interests of intern but during production everyone lends a hand as needed.
Pig Iron is willing to work with educational institutions in order to give college course credit.

DEVELOPMENT INTERNSHIPS
Pig Iron Theatre Company seeks a bright, motivated and highly-organized individual to provide part-time support to the Director of Development, primarily assisting with updating the donor database, logging and tracking grant awards, and various administrative tasks (such as filing) as needed. This position is ideal for individuals interested in learning about development, fundraising and donor cultivation in a fast-paced environment. Flexible schedule, minimum 15 hours/week required.
