Love Unpunished
A dance-theatre contemplation of death and grief, set on the evacuation staircase of the World Trade Center.
Businesspeople, firefighters, bike
messengers, and construction workers cycle through stages of unconcern and fear
into a surreal, unsteady world of memory and loss. Love
Unpunished is a resolutely apolitical attempt to reclaim the humanity of
the dead, and to raise the possibility of community in 9/11-era America.
Directed by Dan Rothenberg; Choreographed by
David Brick; Designed by Mimi Lien
